SUKAZYM RW-100 Microbes for River Water Treatment

Wastewater treatment is an important public service. Wastewater treatment plants consume large amounts of energy each year and therefore has excellent conservation potential with more efficient treatment methods. The use of energy in wastewater treatment will definitely increase in the future due to growth in population, more stringent environmental regulations and higher demand for the reuse of wastewater. There are many methods and processes to treat wastewater. The most common processes of wastewater treatment involves screening and clarification to remove solids, aerobic, suspended growth, activated sludge, reduction of organic pollutants and chlorine disinfection to minimize pathogens. Although energy use in aerated lagoons and trickling filters and are more efficient than other processes, they present many drawbacks as well. Many wastewater treatment plants are shifting from chemical and chlorine-based disinfection to micro-biological disinfection to eliminate the dangers of storage and handling of toxic chemicals and residual hazards. Wastewater flow rates, concentration of solids and contaminants, type of treatment process used, government standards and regulations of effluent discharge, disinfection methods and other factors vary greatly from place to place and plant to plant. Integrating new processes to existing treatment facilities is very difficult and also quite costly. Solid product is packaged at 1 kilogram per plastic bag or 20 kilograms per box and Liquid product is packaged at 2 liters per container or 25 liters per plastic drum Microbiological disinfection methods provide minimum plant design and equipment alterations and has proven to produce favorable results and proved to be cost effective.

  • WHAT IS SUKAZYM RW-100?
SUKAYM RW-100 is a microbial-based product containing a highly concentrated blend of non-pathogenic, beneficial microbes and various digestive enzyme-producing microbes which can reproduce exponentially and efficiently degrade carbohydrates and organic substances present in aerobic river water. SUKAYM RW-100 also contains various high activity enzymes that aid in the digestion of suspended particles and complex materials in bottom sludge for subsequent conversion into simpler molecular substances that can be easily utilized by different microbes for metabolism. SUKAZYM RW-100 contains microbes with specialized degrading capabilities which are able to grow rapidly and degrade many organic substances under aerobic as well as anaerobic conditions. Autotrophic beneficial organisms in SUKAZYM RW-100 can simultaneously oxidize hydrogen, hydrogen sulfide to sulfate or elemental sulfur and reduce nitrate to nitrogen and oxygen gases. These microbes can denitrify even in the presence of oxygen, making them applicable to both aerated and anaerobic water system. Under stable temperature, the product can rapidly degrade the organic matter in industrial, municipal or agricultural wastewater.
  • HOW DOES IT WORK?
Supplementation with high concentrations of selected and adapted microbial strains having better survivability, faster reproduction rate and high efficiency in enzyme production will hasten the decomposition of organic matter dramatically. Aerobic and facultative microorganisms in the SUKAZYM RW-100 with specific degradation capabilities are able to grow and degrade organic substances in the aerobic and anaerobic conditions in waterways and river systems. The digestion process begins with the microbial hydrolysis of the materials such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats into sugars, amino acids and fatty acids for use of other bacteria. Hydrolysis can be performed by both aerobic and facultative microorganisms. Their survival and proliferation are enhanced by the addition of digestive enzymes that convert part of the complex organic matter into simpler substance for instant use by the bacterial cultures. During the decomposition of organic matter in the sludge, the volume of the sludge is first reduced and the degraded products are then released into the water and these are further decomposed in a short span of time by other microbial processes. The enhanced conversion of nitrate to nitrogen gas and eventual release to the water will reduce the accumulation of ammonia in sludge and water. Clarity of water with reduced of bad odor is achieved by continuous enzyme-microbial activity.
  • BENEFITS:
    • Eliminates hydrogen sulfide gas and bad odors • Reduces health hazards to humans, animals, etc. • Eliminates inhibitory effects of hydrogen sulfide on the nitrification process. • Converts suspended particles, accumulated waste and soluble organics in the sludge to carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen gases, water and sulfates. • Breaks down proteins, starches, fats, food-based oils, xylans, cellulose and other inorganic matter. • Efficiently reduces nitrates, ammonia and amount of bottom sludge. • Reduces TSS, COD and BOD. • The microbes can utilize a wide range of carbon sources for growth and reproduction. • Produces less sludge than alternative methods. • Non-toxic, non-corrosive and safer to handle than chemical oxidizers. • Utilizes all-natural microbial activities. Uses no chemicals and therefore environmentally friendly.
