Proteins are among the most complex organic compounds found in nature. They are made up of nitrogen containing compounds known as amino acids.  During the digestion of proteins, hydrochloric acid and proteolytic enzymes break down the intact protein molecule into amino acids which are then absorbed through the intestinal wall in higher organisms and cell membrane in microorganisms. Every animal, including humans, must have an adequate source of protein in order to grow, reproduce and thrive. Proteins, which yield amino acids, are the fundamental structural element of every cell in the body.  Specific proteins are now recognized as the functional elements in certain specialized cells, glandular secretions, enzymes and hormones. Protease, also called proteolytic enzyme or proteinase refers to a group of enzymes whose catalytic function is to hydrolyze or breakdown peptide bonds in proteins to their constituent monomers. In the digestib\ve system of animals and humans, these enzymes are needed to digest protein. Protease is also involved in blood-clotting, lysis of the clots and the proper function of the immune system and is critical in many physiological and patho-physiological processes. Protease is used extensively in bread, food and dairy industries including breweries.
It is also widely used as additives in animal feeds industry, in textile industry, wastewater treatment, juice purification and many other food industries. • WHAT IS SUKAPro NE?

  SUKAPro NE is a protease enzyme preparation active at neutral pH range and obtained from the submerged fermentation of a high protease-producing Aspergillus strain. The proteolytic enzyme preparation in SUKAPro NE can break down the peptide bonds in protein-based foods to liberate the amino acids or polypeptides in acidic condition. The product can be used in leather softening industry and depilation, silk degumming, plant and animal proteolysis, brewing and animal feedstuff. The proteolytic enzyme preparation in SUKAPro NE can break down the peptide bonds in the protein foods to liberate the amino acids or polypeptides in neutral pH condition. Haze in the fermentation broth will be clarified by adding neutral protease in the production of alcohol, wine, ratafee, beer, butter, soy and even household and industrial detergents. Yeast growth during the fermentation stage is improved by the conversion of suspended proteins into amino acids resulting to a higher fermentative speed and yield.

• CHARACTERISTICS:

  SUKAPro NE is available in solid preparation as SUKAPro NE PW 50 (with activity of 50,000 U/g). SUKAPro NE provides maximum benefits at pH Range: 2.5 to 6.0 with optimum at pH 3.5 Temperature Range: 10°C to 50°C (50°F to 122°F) with optimum at 50°C (122°F). Unit Definition: The amount of enzyme needed to liberate 1µg tyrosine in one minute at pH of 7.0, at the temperature of 40°C.

• APPLICATION & DOSAGE:

  Animal Feed Additive: For use as an animal feed additive, SUKAPro NE can be mixed directly to the feed at the dosage rate of 5.0 U/g to 10.0 U/g (Make sure the product is mixed thoroughly with the feeds). Brewery: For use in the brewing process, add SUKAPro NE at the rate of 5 U/g. • PACKAGING:

  The solid preparation of SUKAPro NE is packaged in plastic drums at 25 kilograms per drum. Alternative packaging is available upon request for smaller or larger quantities.

• STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:

  Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. SUKAPro NE maintains its activity for considerably longer time when stored at lower temperatures (below 25°C) and in the recommended conditions in its original container. However, the product should not be frozen. Keep this product out of reach of children.

• HANDLING:

  Even though SUKAPro NE is not toxic and is biodegradable, ingestion should be avoided. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water. Unnecessary contact and long term exposure to the product should also be avoided particularly for individuals who exhibit sensitivity and recation to it. Wash hands with warm soapy water after each handling of SUKAPro NE.
