Proteins are among the most complex organic compounds found in nature. They are made up of nitrogen containing compounds known as amino acids.  During the digestion of proteins, hydrochloric acid and proteolytic enzymes break down the intact protein molecule into amino acids which are then absorbed through the intestinal wall in higher organisms and cell membrane in microorganisms. Every animal, including humans, must have an adequate source of protein in order to grow, reproduce and thrive. Proteins, which yield amino acids, are the fundamental structural element of every cell in the body.  Specific proteins are now recognized as the functional elements in certain specialized cells, glandular secretions, enzymes and hormones. Protease, also called proteolytic enzyme or proteinase refers to a group of enzymes whose catalytic function is to hydrolyze or breakdown peptide bonds in proteins to their constituent monomers. In the digestib\ve system of animals and humans, these enzymes are needed to digest protein. Protease is also involved in blood-clotting, lysis of the clots and the proper function of the immune system and is critical in many physiological and patho-physiological processes. Protease is used extensively in bread, food and dairy industries including breweries.
It is also widely used as additives in animal feeds industry, in textile industry, wastewater treatment, juice purification and many other food industries. • WHAT IS SUKAPro AC?

  SUKAPro AC is a protease enzyme preparation active at acidic pH ranges and obtained from the submerged fermentation of a high protease-producing Aspergillus strain. The proteolytic enzyme preparation in SUKAPro AC can break down the peptide bonds in protein-based foods to liberate the amino acids or polypeptides in acidic condition. Haze in the fermentation broth will be clarified by adding acid Protease in the production of alcohol, wine, ratafee, beer, butter and soy. Yeast growth during the fermentation stage is improved by the conversion of suspended proteins into amino acids resulting to a higher fermentative speed and yield.

• CHARACTERISTICS:

  SUKAPro AC is available in solid preparation as SUKAPro AC PW 50 (with activity of 50,000 U/g). SUKAPro AC provides maximum benefits at pH Range: 2.5 to 6.0 with optimum at pH 3.5 Temperature Range: 10°C to 50°C (50°F to 122°F) with optimum at 50°C (122°F). Unit Definition: The amount of enzyme needed to liberate 1µg tyrosine in one minute at pH of 3.0, at the temperature of 40°C.

• APPLICATION & DOSAGE:

  Animal Feed Additive: For use as an animal feed additive, SUKAPro AC can be mixed directly to the feed at the dosage rate of 5.0 to 10 U/g. Because of the variety of commercial feeds that are being given to different types of animals, it is advisable to adjust dosage amount according your individual condition. Please contact our office if you have any questions about the application and dosage of this product. Brewery: For use in the brewing process, add SUKAPro AC at the rate of 5 U/g. • PACKAGING:

  SUKAPro AC in solid preparation is packaged at 25 kilograms per drum. Alternative packaging is available upon request for smaller or larger quantities. Please call us for details and information

• STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:

  Store in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. SUKAPro AC maintains its activity for considerably longer time when stored at lower temperatures (below 25°C) and in the recommended conditions in its original container. However, the product should not be frozen. Keep this product out of reach of children.

• HANDLING:

  Even though SUKAPro AC is not toxic and is biodegradable, direct inhalation and ingestion should be avoided. In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water. Unnecessary contact and long term exposure to the product should also be avoided particularly for individuals who exhibit sensitivity to it. Wash hands with warm soapy water after handling.
