All algae are plankton but not all planktons are algae. Many plankton and algae species are microscopic in size and serve as food for fishes and other aquatic animals like shrimps crabs, mussels, etc. In fact many larger species depend on them totally to survive and thrive.  They are critical in the food chain for aquatic animals. In commercial aquaculture, the feasibility of the business hinges heavily on the availability and abundance of near surface or bottom level plankton and algae. They depend on light to survive but their abundance also strongly dependent on factors such as ambient nutrients concentrations, the physical state of the water column, and the abundance of other planktons. Algae and plankton feed generally on the nutrients in the water and soil. Biochemical fertilizer with other micro-nutrients to enrich the pond bottom soil can therefore boost the production of plankton and algae. • WHAT IS SUKAAQUA AID?

  SUKAAqua AID is a bio-chemical growth promoter formulated specially for plankton and algae. Many aquaculture species depend on the abundance of plankton and algae as food which in turn depends on the abundance of nutrients found in the soil and water. Success of commercial aquaculture depends on aquatic soil fertility and ecology which, like its terrestrial counterpart is complex. Understanding this allows our company to produce SUKAAqua AID. The product contains concentrated biochemical fertilizer for pond bottom and aquatic soil. This ensures the continuous availability of micro-nutrients for planktons and algae. Without augmenting pond bottom soil fertility, plankton and algae production will be minimal. Left unattended, the nutrients available in the soil and growth of plankton and algae will decrease with every aquaculture cycle. These nutrients will be completely depleted in a matter of a few cycles and this may be disastrous for commercial aquaculture.

• CHARACTERISTICS:

  Appearance: Bluish liquid Odor: No particularly detectable odor pH Range: 3.0 to 10.0 with optimum at 7.0 Temperature Range: 20 to 35°C with optimum performance at 25°C to 32°C

• APPLICABILITY:

  SUKAAqua AID works equally well for saline, brackish and fresh water environment and is therefore applicable to the culture and breeding of shrimp, crab, shellfish, fish, sea cucumber etc.

• STORAGE & SHELF LIFE:

  Store this product in a cool, well ventilated, dry place and away from direct sunlight. SUKAAqua AID maintains its potency up to 3 years if properly sealed in the original container and considerably longer time when stored at lower temperatures (below 25°C) but never freeze it. Keep out of reach of children.

• HANDLING:

  Wash hands with warm soapy water after handling. Do not ingest the product. Although there is no known adverse effect in handling SUKAAqua AID, nonetheless, unnecessary contact with the product should be avoided for individuals who exhibit any reaction or for individuals who may be sensitive to it.

• APPLICATION & DOSAGE:

  1. Shake the product well to ensure uniform concentration of the product before using it 2. SUKAAqua AID is concentrated so the product should be diluted with water. 3. Add 0.5 kg urea to diluted solution and spread or broadcast evenly to all pond areas. 4. For ordinary conditions, recommended dosage is 1 drum of SUKAAqua AID for every 10 acres before culture and 1 drum for every 15 acres during culture. 5. The effect of SUKAAqua AID will be greatly enhanced when used in combination with SUKAAqua PROVIDE, also from of our company. Important Note: For drastic or extreme conditions, apply 1 drum of SUKAAqua AID for every 5 acres with addition of 0.5 kg of urea for every acre. It is also very critical to add SUKAAqua Provide at 1000 grams per acre. (Click here for info on SUKAAqua PROVIDE) Since water and soil conditions may vary widely even between ponds of the same aquaculture farm, for best results, we suggest the dosage should be determined and decided through actual experiments according to the real objective conditions.
